On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Since a member of our family was involved in that effort, in 2019 we visited sites and participated in events to commemorate the 50th anniversary of reaching the moon.
Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon, 2019 was The Year of Apollo throughout the space centers of America, especially in our own backyard at Kennedy Space Center.
