Big Butt
Does this rock make my butt look small?
I’d hiked up to the Big Butt Trail from Montreat a half dozen years ago, and wondered why it was named that. I wasn't the hike leader and had never hiked in this area before, so I had no idea why.
Our group turned around before we reached the AT, so I never did find out. I'd forgotten about that hike entirely until we saw signs stating Big Butt Mountain was up ahead.
Now that we've been there, John and I know why. It's all in the perspective.
